Our school is interested in participating in a virtual visit to the underground facilities of the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. The purpose of this visit is to give our students the opportunity to explore one of the world’s leading research projects in particle physics and to gain a deeper understanding of how fundamental particles are studied. Through this experience, students will be able to connect classroom learning with real scientific research, interact with experts, and develop a greater appreciation for the role of modern physics and large-scale scientific collaborations.
Given our school's location in a geographically remote area, our students have limited access to world-class scientific facilities. A Virtual Visit to the ATLAS experiment would provide a unique, transformative opportunity to democratize science education, bringing the frontiers of human knowledge directly into our classroom and breaking down the barriers of distance.
Our students show a special interest in the science of Physics, which is the reason why we requested to attend the virtual tour of ATLAS in the CERN accelerator. They are interested in acquiring a positive attitude for their future and are looking for information on research which is going to open up new fields. The functions, experiments and discoveries carried out in this research center create great interest for teenagers and many questions can be answered with the virtual tour.

This ATLAS virtual visit for the Masterclass will be organised for Colombian Physics Olympiad students at Universidad Antonio Nariño, Bogotá, Colombia.
Virtual tour for an assembly hall at a school. Students will be A-Level students and have an interest in the work of Atlas.
Our school runs a science club, and every year we hold a Science Day where students present physics, chemistry, and biology experiments to students from other schools. It would therefore be very interesting for them to see the spaces where experiments are conducted simultaneously and to learn what kinds of experiments are carried out in the facilities.
The tour will be livestreamed back to the Netherlands in Dutch for a group of participants in a 3-part lecture series on particle physics specifically for the elderly.
This digital visit at CERN would motivate our students to get involved in science. I strongly believe that this opportunity is crucial for our students in Nisyros, inhabitants of the Acritic islands, since they do not have access to advanced scientific infrastructure, laboratories, or frequent educational events.

As a Mathematics Special Education teacher in Samos, I would like my 9th-grade students to join the virtual visit to CERN to connect their lessons with real scientific exploration. This experience will help them better understand how mathematics and physics are applied in major research projects, while inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in STEM fields.
As a physics teacher, together with a group of my students, wish to participate in the online visit to CERN because we consider it a unique educational opportunity. CERN is the world’s leading research centre in Particle Physics, and introducing students to its work can significantly strengthen their interest in the Physical Sciences. Our participation will help students: -connect the Physics concepts taught at school with their real-world applications at the forefront of scientific research, -understand ideas such as elementary particles, accelerators, and detectors through authentic examples, -become familiar with how scientists work, reinforcing scientific thinking, research ethics, and collaborative culture, -learn about potential career paths and be inspired by CERN’s international environment, broadening their academic and personal horizons. For students of a public Greek secondary school, such an experience provides strong motivation and serves as a catalyst for deeper engagement with science. We believe that the online visit will be a valuable educational tool that will meaningfully contribute to cultivating their curiosity, creativity, and passion for Physics and innovation.
