Como parte do projeto "Meninas na Ciência" da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, o Departamento de Física desta Universidade realizará uma visita virtual ao experimento ATLAS na linha de feixes do acelerador LHC em Genebra na Suíça. Durante a visita, as alunas poderão discutir com a pesquisadora Ana Peixoto, coordenadora de divulgação científica do experimento sobre a física, o detector, a operação do LHC entre outros aspéctos. A visita é organizada no Brasil pela professora Gabriela Kaiana Ferreira do IF/UFSC e acontecerá às 11 horas no horário de Brasília. As part of the "Girls in Science" project at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, the Physics Department of this university will conduct a virtual visit to the ATLAS experiment at the beam line of the LHC accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland. During the visit, the students will be able to discuss physics, the detector, the operation of the LHC, among other aspects, with the researcher Ana Peixoto, coordinator of scientific outreach of the experiment.
